In loving memory of our dear Abu, Haji Mohammed Bashir.

Abu returned to Allah SWT on 24 June 2025 at the age of 86 years, having bravely faced a terminal diagnosis of lung cancer for the last 9months of his life.

Abu never once complained or said uff, instead he courageously said ‘when these things happen, you have to face them’. He fought with patience, dignity and grace until his las breath.

Our Abu was an active, gentle and simple man, as his daughters we are raising funds in conjunction with Al Mustafa Welfare Trust with the aim of building a Mosque as Sadaqah Jariyah in Abu’s name.

We want to honour his gentle spirit and continue his legacy of goodness so that every prayer, every word of Quran, and every breath in worship both inside and outside the mosque’s walls becomes a source of ongoing reward for Abu.

Our journey began in November 1983 on a small scale by a group of highly motivated intellectuals, social workers, lawyers, doctors, engineers and business executives, who all had the passion for philanthropy. Over 36 years since our formation, Al Mustafa Welfare Trust has provided medical care, education, food aid, poverty relief, famine relief, and community development in disaster areas, war-torn countries, and many rural and poverty-stricken areas of the world.
