Hi everyone! I'm Nadia, and on 26th April 2026 I will be running the London Marathon for the amazing charity Home-Start UK!

Im a Head of Early Years and a mum of one, with a huge passion promoting positive early childhood experiences, which is one of the many reasons why I am delighted to be running for Home-Start. I have worked in the Early Years sector for around 12 years now and within recent years I have been lucky enough to work closely with Home-Start through my work setting and get a closer look into the amazing work they do to support many families with childhood always at the heart.

This is my first ever marathon, running 26.2 miles will be my biggest challenge yet, however, training has started and I am determined to raise as much as possible to support such a great cause. Home-Start recognises those precious early stages of a child’s life and how they lay the foundations of each and every aspect of their development. Home-start understands that being a parent is not the easiest and It can be lonely, frustrating and over-whelming for some and anyone at anytime. Home-Start supports families through their toughest and most challenging times, whether that may be those experiencing post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement, financial insecurity, loneliness, domestic violence, mental health issues, disabilities or more.

For 50 years Home-Start have helped thousands of families through compassionate, non-judgemental volunteer and expert support for parents, carers and families. Last year Home-Start supported 78,900 children in 43,692 families, in communities across the UK.

Your donations big or small could go towards providing vital training for the amazing volunteers, so they can continue delivering targeted support to the family needs to transform the lives of many children. Children miss out on the most important years of their life because of family crisis but with Home-Start’s support, their childhood can start now. The earliest years make the biggest impact to a child’s life and Home-Start makes sure those years count so that no child’s future is limited. Your donation will greatly support the much needed funds for enabling families to make a brighter future for their children.
