Story
On 31st December 2025 we sadly lost our darling Nadim, aged 40. He was the most wonderful son, father, brother, friend, and was loved by all who knew him. He was first diagnosed with Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vEDS) in 2016.
Vascular EDS is a life threatening connective tissue disorder that affects all tissues, arteries and internal organs making them extremely fragile. Patients are at risk of sudden arterial or organ rupture.
Nadim was a larger than life character and bore his diagnosis with the most amazing courage and bravery. He was adamant that it wouldn’t define him and was determined to live life to the fullest. He never, ever moaned or complained and always put others first. He will leave the most enormous void in our lives.
Annabelle's Challenge is the leading charity for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in the UK. At the heart of the charity is Annabelle, a brave little girl from Bury who is the inspiration behind our challenge to raise awareness and support for patients and families affected by vascular EDS.
