Story
🏃♀️I am running the London Half Marathon 2026 for Maternity Services! 🏅
In April 2026, I will be taking on 13.1 miles through the streets of London with my midwifery colleague Amanda— and we’re doing it to support the birthing women of Norfolk.
We’re raising money for our amazing maternity unit, where babies are born day and night! The funds will go directly towards making women's birth experiences more comfortable, calming and positive. With your help, we hope to provide things like twinkling lights, TENS machines, birthing balls, aromatherapy oils, toiletry packs, and even items for a planned new early labour relaxation room.
Some of the money may also go towards training for our midwives in areas of need. Midwives work incredibly hard to care for families across Norfolk, and having access to the right tools and environment makes a huge difference — not only to the women we support, but also to our own job satisfaction and morale.
This will be my first ever half marathon and my first long-distance running event — so I’ll be training hard, starting this winter! Every step I take in training and on race day will be with our maternity families and fellow midwives in mind.
💛 If you’re able to donate, thank you — every penny will go directly to supporting better birth experiences.
📢 If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Let’s make birth better — one mile at a time.
Thank you so much for your support,
Midwives Nadine & Amanda 🏃♀️👶💫
