On 22 August I am hiking Carding Mill Valley to help support Heartlands Hospital Charity.

My nephew Norman and I are going on a hike through Carding Mill Valley, and we want to make this adventure count for something truly meaningful. We are fundraising for my ward (4) at Heartlands Hospital, which specialises in elective and emergency vascular surgery.

Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a vital new wheelchair that will help patients who leave the hospital to go home while waiting for a more permanent wheelchair. Many of these patients are vulnerable, and this simple piece of equipment can make a world of difference in their journey to recovery.

Every penny we raise will help improve the experience of patients during a difficult and anxious time. It’s about dignity, comfort, and giving them hope — because no one should have to struggle without the support they deserve.
