Nailsea's Unicorn House fundraiser for Cancer Research UK

Student Walk 4 Life · 7 May 2024
Unicorn House recognise how frequently and deeply cancer affects those around us. Earlier this year, Head of House, Mr Howard, lost his mum to cancer. We would like to do all we can to help prevent cancer by supporting cancer research. To this end all our fundraising activities will raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Over 220 students will take part in our walking marathon relay. Each Unicorn tutor group will do a leg of the course - accumulating in over 616, 000 meters between us.
You may not be able to walk with us on site, but you can join with us in your own way. Please help us remember and celebrate our loved ones affected by cancer by donating whatever you can afford to this fantastic cause.
If you have a personal message to add about the way cancer has affected you and your loved ones, and you feel able to briefly share it, we will be printing tags with messages on to hang on a memory tree in our atrium. All tags will be anonymous, but we hope this is a chance for school and the wider community to work together to tackle this problem that affects so many.
Thank you - Unicorn House
