Join Nalam Vaala Annual Sponsored Walk 28th September 2025

We are raising funds to extend and expand our program to assist English Teaching in rural schools in Sri Lanka.

In 2024 we have successfully completed a Pilot Project in Keerimalai Naguleswara Maha Vidyalayam in Jaffna District using Non-formal-learning methods. One of our intended plans is to complete the Assessment Framework for this completed project. This will involve structured sessions with Teachers and pupils who took part. A wider session will be held with all students to identify their views.

Nalam Vaala was also engaged in supporting selected young people to aim high and go on to study at university level or employability courses. We intend to continue this in order to identify and encourage new young ambassadors for our future work.

The purpose of the above exercise is to report to the people who have supported the above project.

We are working to a tight timescale because we shall be seeking international funds such as the UK National Lottery in order to deliver similar project to between 200 and 300 schools in every corner of our island.
