Nalam Vaala” was established in 2016 in Sri Lanka to support education and employment in the most deprived areas of our community, focusing on disadvantaged people and those classified as particularly vulnerable, in the war-affected regions in the North and East of Sri Lanka.

Story

We are all lucky enough to have received a well resourced and fair education - allowing us to reach our potential and support our family. Unfortunately not everyone has the same opportunity, but with all our help and care we can support others and provide much needed resources and training to ensure more children are given a fair chance to succeed and achieve what they are truly capable of.

We have received a request from a school in rural Sri Lanka to support the furnishing of a much needed computer class room. We are raising essential funds for that school where childredn, through no fault of their own, do not have access to fundamental learning tools to ensure they can learn to their best ability. Our established charity, Naalam Vaala has been successfully sponsoring children through their school life to ensure they can stay in education and learn vital skills to improve and build their community, and support families living in difficult circumstances. We need your help to continue this great work and provide technology and training into the school to combat the ever increasing digital divide that hinders and isolates children who do not have access to basic computing resources, something we all take for granted. As global citizens and caring members of the human race we ask for your support, no matter how small!

In an effort to raise as much money as possible and support the school with good teaching and learning resources we will be walking around

London Richmond Park on Saturday, 29th of July 2023.

It would be fantastic to have your support. Your donations will go a long way in improving the lives of many and ensure education is a basic right, and something we all need to fight for and collaborate on, for the greater good.
