Story
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. A small but important detail: I don’t run. I’ve never run. But I am going to run — 13.1 miles of it in 12 weeks — because this cause truly matters to me.
This will be my first ever challenge like this, and I’m doing it to raise £1,000 for a charity I am a tremendous supporter of and deeply believe in. Their work is vital. The reality is, it’s often just luck that we’re on the side of life we currently stand on. Tragedy and hardship don’t discriminate — life can strike at any time.
We’re all just people, and we all deserve to be looked after in our time of need. If I ever found myself in tough times, I’d hope others would see me as one of them — not “other”, not invisible — just human, and worthy of care and compassion.
Thank you so much for donating whatever you can. Every pound really does make a massive difference — and will help carry me through my very first run, fuelled by goodwill, determination, and probably imagining a massive loaf of bread at the end. Any tips, advice, or running pals are very much welcome 💚🏃♀️
