❤️ Running the London Marathon in Memory of Khushil ❤️
Next year, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life — the TCS London Marathon. 🏃♀️❤️
I feel incredibly lucky to have been accepted through the ballot, but this marathon is about so much more than crossing the finish line.
Next year will mark 10 years since I lost my beautiful son, Khushil. 💙
Khushil was just 14 when he lost his life to a rare and aggressive brain tumour called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). Despite everything he faced, he showed incredible courage and strength. He achieved so much in his short life, including earning his Duke of Edinburgh Award, excelling academically and leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Ten years without my son is a milestone I never imagined I would have to reach.
I am running this marathon in Khushil’s memory and hope to raise £3,000 towards vital DIPG research. There is still no cure, and my hope is that one day other families will not have to experience the heartbreak that we have endured.
Every mile will be for Khushil. Every step will carry his memory. Every donation will help turn our pain into hope. ❤️
If you can donate, no matter how small, I would be incredibly grateful. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing my page to help me reach my goal.
42.195km for Khushil.
£3,000 for DIPG research.
10 years of carrying his memory in my heart. 💙
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me honour Khushil and keep his memory alive. 🙏❤️
We are The Brain Tumour Charity. Our vision is a world where people with brain tumours live longer and better.
Today, 34 people will hear the devastating words 'You have a brain tumour." And in that moment their world stops. Which is exactly why we won't.
Every day, we're accelerating cures, driving better care and raising our voices to create a better world for everybody in the brain tumour community.
But we can't do it alone!
