I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 18th of May fundraising for Bart’s Charity.
I have chosen to support this charity to give thanks to the people who supported my family and I when we lost my Dad, Frank, in January 2023.
My dad became acutely unwell over Christmas and was treated in the adult critical care unit at the Royal London Hospital for two weeks before he died. Loosing daddy was sudden and unexpected and the hardest thing any of us have had to endure. Despite this, during our visits to the RLH we were met with warm smiles, open ears to our questions and the staff who took care of my dad and of us were respectful and compassionate.
Barts Health Charity support the amazing hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust (St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham).
Please help me say thank you by helping them to make things better for patients and staff, by funding things like state-of-the-art equipment, innovative healthcare projects or ground-breaking medical research.
Any support raised through this event means the people of East London benefit from life-changing research and innovative healthcare improvements.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can make extraordinary healthcare happen.
