Story
On September 13th, 2025, me and my fabulous mum are lacing up our boots to climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Why? Well this isn't just a personal challenge after the last few years but also to raise money for Nowzad, the amazing animal welfare charity I work for.
Nowzad means the world to us because our own furry family members, Gus, Shola, Hazel and now Lexi were all rescued from the streets of Kabul by Pen and his team. After all these years of their love, I want to give something back, and this climb is for Dad as well. He loved these Afghan dogs more than anyone!
At 1,085m, Snowdon is no easy "feet", especially with a hip replacement for me and mum being 77 (sorry mum!) – definitely not a walk in the park! We'll be contending with the elements and the challenge of the mountain itself. But it's all for a fantastic cause: every donation goes directly to Nowzad's vital work helping animals in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
If you can spare even a few pennies or pounds to cheer us on, it would mean the world and go straight to the animals.
I'll keep you posted on how we get on. Your support would be incredibly appreciated and would truly spur me and mum on!
Thanks a million,
Nina x
