Story
The OLLIE Foundation is a registered UK charity focused on preventing suicide through evidence-based education, training and community well-being initiatives. Founded in 2016 by three parents who tragically each lost a son to suicide, The OLLIE Foundation strengthens communities by building the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to recognise distress, have safe conversations to prevent suicide because One Life Lost Is Enough.
Some journeys are about the destination...
Others are about the people you walk alongside 🧡
September is Suicide Awareness Month a time to talk openly about suicide, to listen without judgement and to remind people that they don’t have to face difficult times alone.
That’s why, in October, my friend Alison and I will be walking the Camino del Sol (translated means 'Path of the Sun' or 'Road to the Sun') 66km over 3 days from Malaga to Marbella to raise funds for The OLLIE Foundation.
We hope every step will help create awareness and encourage conversations to raise vital funds.
At The OLLIE Foundation our work helps support the network around young people, providing training and resources to schools, businesses and our local communities by reaching out and empowering conversations to reduce stigma and help save lives.
We are walking with a purpose...
🧡 To raise awareness
🧡 To start conversations
🧡 To challenge the stigma around suicide
🧡 To raise much-needed funds so The OLLIE Foundation can continue its vital suicide prevention work
Walking together. Talking together. Helping prevent suicide together!
