Support My First Half Marathon for Grief Encounter
I'm running my first ever half marathon to raise funds for Grief Encounter, a charity that holds a very special place in my heart.
Before I was born, my family experienced the devastating loss of a baby boy - my brother Stuart - at just seven months old. This loss deeply affected my older sister and I know that if an organisation like Grief Encounter had been available, it would have made an incredible difference to her, and my family's journey through grief.
Grief Encounter provides critical support and specialised services to families experiencing profound loss. One child in every UK classroom will experience the death of someone close by age 16, and getting the right support can be transformative during a devastating time.
Examples of how a donation can make an impact:
£100: A one-to-one counselling session with a trained therapist to support a grieving child.
£50: A full “grieftalk” session on their national, confidential helpline. This provides immediate listening and professional advice to children, young people, or families suffering grief.
£20: Good Grief workbook, to provide bereaved children a structured way to express and cope with their emotions.
£10: Specialist bereavement storybook to help a child understand and process grief
Please consider making a donation to this amazing charity.
