Story
In January 2014 I lost my beautiful mum to Sepsis. After a series of GP appointments where her symptoms were turned away as flu like, her condition rapidly deteriorated. Suddenly, she was admitted to hospital in a life threatening condition. The next day, she passed away. Hearing doctors say there was nothing they could do will forever haunt me, especially knowing that Sepsis is entirely preventable. However, it is very difficult to spot.
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of the Sepsis Trust, and in honour of my Mum. As someone who only took up running in the past two years (with incredibly low sporting experience, as my family will testify) this is an incredibly daunting task. Please help me support an amazing charity that does incredible work in helping prevent deaths like my Mum’s, and aiding those living with the consequences of Sepsis. Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
