Story
My lovely Grandma has suffered with this cruel illness for 4-+ years, in that time a lot of memories made, some lost, but what never fades is the love she has for all of her family.
Whilst memory is an obstacle for her, the things that bring her joy are hearing about all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s adventures. When I talk to her about running, she lights up, calls me mad, but mostly brave and strong, so that’s what I’ll be bringing to the start line of my first ever marathon.
I’m running this race and fundraising for a future where Alzheimer’s doesn’t devastate lives and rob anyone of their precious memories.
One brave, strong (and mad) step at a time.
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
