An incredible opportunity has arisen to take part in a charity challenge at work, with some of my M&S Bank colleagues- the Mont Blanc Trek.

As I approach my 40th birthday, I see this as a perfect chance to give back, however, I definitely had some hesitations….

I'm not particularly 'fit', I have a fear of flying, heights make me uneasy, and I face some health challenges of my own- maybe this trek isn't for me......!!

However, as I reflected on the remarkable work that Claire House Children's Hospice does, the thought of supporting children and families during their most challenging times has really inspired me.

Imagine receiving the heart-wrenching news that your child is seriously ill and may not live to adulthood. Claire House steps in during these unimaginable moments, helping parents create beautiful experiences for their children and restoring a sense of normality to family life.

Through specialised nursing care and emotional support, Claire House brings smiles back to families when life feels unbearably tough. This mission inspires me to push through my fears and challenges.

I am committed to raising £1,000 for this vital cause but totally understand cost of living is high for us all, so even the smallest contribution would be gratefully received.
