From a young age (6 months), Nina (now 6yrs) has benefited immensely from the support of Footprints, a remarkable charity based in Nottingham. This organisation empowers children living with communication and mobility difficulties to learn essential life skills and reach their full potential. At the same time, they provide families with the knowledge, confidence, and strength to navigate the challenges that come with disabilities.

We attend weekly sessions filled with activities tailored to each child's unique needs. These gatherings allow us to laugh, cry, share solutions, and celebrate our little ones' achievements together. It is here that Nina learned Makaton (enabling her to communicate), took her first steps, and gained independence in feeding and drinking. The impact of this center on our lives is immeasurable.

As I prepare to run in the Robin Hood Half Marathon on September 28th, 2025, I am filled with gratitude for the staff who have supported us throughout this journey.
