The OLLIE Foundation a charity devoted to preventing youth suicide. Set up by three parents who lost their sons to suicide, they vowed to do something to stop it happening to others. The funds you help us raise enable us to train members of local communities in suicide prevention and intervention.

Story

Hello everyone!

I am back leading our second walk and it has a new name. This year, the walk will be in aid of The OLLIE Foundation.

After last year's successful 'Cedars Walk for CALM,' Chris Sibley (CEO) reached out and offered support after seeing us in the media. I have been working closely with The OLLIE Foundation since.

The OLLIE Foundation have delivered their FIRST 'Transition to University' workshop to our Sixth Formers and it was such a fantastic offering, I feel all secondary schools/Sixth Form facilitators should access this.

Their 'Safer Prescribing Initiative' has also been vital in addressing patients are well informed and clear on the potential side of medications, such as anti-depressants.

About The OLLIE Foundation -

In 2016, three parents who had all lost their teenage sons to suicide, vowed to do all they could to prevent other families suffering similar tragedies.

The OLLIE Foundation (One Life Lost is Enough) is a registered charity funding suicide intervention skills training for adults working with young people.

Since our registration in 2016 we have trained over 20,000 people in suicide prevention.

Your fundraising helps us train even more people, break down the stigma attached to suicide, and increase awareness!
