London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

We empower women in London to overcome their homelessness and live independently. We are a wrap-around service, providing basic needs like shelter, access to healthcare and food, alongside a programme of confidence-building employment and wellness activities. We are Church Army's flagship project.

Story

Update: Mr Pisal completed his 26th Marathon in 3h53min on Sunday. It was a glorious day and he was happy with his finish time. We have exceeded our fundraising target and we are so grateful for all your support and generosity.

At London Gynaecology, giving back is part of who we are. Alongside my commitment to women's health in clinic, I’m proud to support charitable causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of women.

I’m delighted to share that I’ll once again be taking on the London Marathon on Sunday 27th April — marking my 26th marathon (26 miles for 26 marathons!) — in support of a vital charity; The Marylebone Project.

Each marathon brings its own set of challenges, but knowing that every step will help us support women in vulnerable circumstances and give them the tools to take back control of their lives will help me reach the finish line.

Over the years, friends and patients have been generous and enthusiastic supporters of my fundraising efforts. To show our support, London Gynaecology will match the first £1,000 in donations.

About the Marylebone Project

The Marylebone Project supports homeless women, offering shelter, safety and a path forward. Every donation goes directly towards helping women in crisis access the care, dignity and opportunity they deserve.

Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:

£50 could fund one night in an emergency bed — providing safety, food, fresh bedding and access to essential services such as counselling, health care and employment support.

£80 could provide a resettlement starter pack — helping a woman take her first steps into independent living with essentials like pots, pans and bedding.

£350 could fund a week in a secure room with wraparound support, helping a woman begin to rebuild her life.

Thank you so much for your kind and generous support over the years.
