Story
James and Andy are taking on a 90-minute endurance kart race to raise funds for Racing Awareness – an annual event supporting the National Autistic Society.
Autism is a complex and varied condition, and while understanding and support are improving, there’s still much more to be done. The National Autistic Society works tirelessly to:
- Provide advice and guidance to autistic people and their families
- Improve public understanding of autism
- Campaign for the rights of autistic people
- Provide vital services, including specialist schools and family support
... and plenty more https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do
Currently, only 29% of autistic adults are in employment – a stark reminder of the barriers many face in daily life. With your support, we can help break down those barriers and create better opportunities for autistic people and their families.
If you’re unfamiliar with autism, we encourage you to take a few minutes to read this page from the NAS https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/what-is-autism. It’s a great way to challenge myths and build understanding.
We’ve already paid our entry fees and made our own donation. If you’d like to help us make an even bigger impact, any contribution – big or small – would be hugely appreciated.
