Story
50km for my 50th to raise £500 for ovarian cancer charity, Ovacome.
Why?
Because 50 is no age at all, but was the age at which my mum died of ovarian cancer in 1999.
Because 1 in 50 women receive the diagnosis in their lifetime, and although survival rates can reach 93% if caught early enough, but average survival rates are only 35%.
Ovacome offers information and support to anyone affected by ovarian cancer. So I’ll be walking 50km around Bath in March (coincidentally Ovarian Cancer Awareness month) to raise funds to support their work.
