Story
In November 2024 my life changed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
I found a lump that didn’t feel urgent at the time, life was busy with a toddler and a 10 month old, but a friend who had shared her own breast cancer experience through CoppaFeel! stayed in my mind. Because of her, I trusted my instincts and got it checked.
That decision changed everything. It led to surgery, six months of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and ongoing treatment that continues today.
This September, along with Gi Fletcher and some other famous faces, I will be hiking 100km over 5 days along the Great Wall of China to raise £4,000 for the charity that helped me listen to my body when it mattered most. CoppaFeel!’s message — to know your body, trust yourself, and get checked — quite literally changed the course of my life.
Life after cancer isn’t simple. I’m still on intense, ongoing treatment that affects me every day — my energy, my body, and my plans. Some days are really hard. But I’m determined to lace up my trainers, rebuild my strength, and get ready for some long (and probably sweaty!) days on the trail — one step at a time.
Training for this trek gives me something positive to focus on, a reason to keep moving, and a brilliant way to give back to a charity that helped me act when it mattered most.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just take a moment to check yourself or encourage someone you love to do the same, that would mean everything to me.
Thank you so much for being part of this ❤️
