For those of you that have known me over the years will know that I grow my hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that supports children and young people (up to age 24) who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other medical conditions.

This will be my 4th hair donation and probably my final one (for those interested it takes about 4 years to reach a 16 inch+ donation). This hair has seen me become a mum twice so I know this donation will hit me the hardest thinking about those children that they support now I have my own.

Provides free real-hair wigs to children and young people experiencing hair loss.

Supports childhood cancer research, funding projects aimed at developing kinder, less toxic, and more effective treatments.

They rely on hair donations from the public to create the wigs.

They also raise funds to support their wig-making and research initiatives.

Since 2016, they’ve funded over 100 clinical trials and research projects into childhood cancer

Entirely funded by donations and fundraising efforts from supporters.

Now I know what you are thinking asking for donations when all I have done it sit and wait for my hair to grow may not be enough so myself and my friend Jenna have also entered into Poznan Hyrox Doubles in December. Hyrox is a race that combines running and functional workouts—specifically, eight 1km runs each followed by a different exercise…. Sound awful right…..

Any donation you would like to give to the charity would be a step to giving young people a sense of normalcy and hope during incredibly tough times. It costs the charity £700 in total when including fitting and styling costs

All being well my hair will be being chopped off in September for childhood cancer awareness month and I am aiming for my longest donation yet at 18 inches
