Story
Pete has completed the incredible challenge of climbing MT Toubkal over a 3 day trek to raise money for Willow. As a marathon participant he is no stranger to a challenge but this was described as fellow climbers as brutal. An incredible achievement!
Willow creates unforgettable Special Day Experiences for seriously ill adults aged 16 – 40, living with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.
Bespoke experiences that give quality of life and quality of time, enabling individuals to create precious memories or fulfil a last wish with those closest to them.
The great plan was to support Willow and seriously ill young people by trekking the highest point in Morocco – until I broke my ankle training……… Super sub, Peter has stepped in to take on Mount Toubkal and I have been reluctantly cleared (finally by my physio) so that I can take on The Thames Moonlight 10 mile walk.
Pete’s 5-day trip will take him on a journey through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco to the highest peak in Morocco and all of North Africa, the famous Mt Toubkal at 4,167m whilst I will be completing the Moonlight walk through London.
A huge thank you to Pete for stepping in and taking my place, as my younger brother I’m sure he will remind me of how he saved the day for me for years to come.
Please donate and help provide Special days to enable beneficiaries to enjoy a carefree day offering a focus away from illness and long-term treatment, uncomplicated time to reconnect with family or friends and an opportunity to create precious memories during anxious and uncertain times.
Thank you
