Natalie's fundraiser for Black Minds Matter UK

May 12k Step Challenge · 10 June 2025
As a black women, from Caribbean decent, I am all too familiar with the mental health challenges faced within the Black community. Growing up, I experienced first hand how mental health struggles are often swept under the rug, due to cultural beliefs or the fear of the repercussions for even admitting something is wrong. While things are slowly changing, many people in our community still find it difficult to access the proper support they need to address their mental health issues.
This is why I’m raising money for Black Minds Matter UK, an incredible charity that is working tirelessly to change this narrative. Black Minds Matter UK provides up to 10 fully funded 121 talking therapy sessions for people within the Black Community. The charity also provides support networks, and resources to ensure that people of all backgrounds have access to the mental health care they deserve.
This month, in honour of National Mental Health Awareness Month, I’ll be walking with purpose, aiming to reach an average of 12,000 steps a day by 8th June, to raise funds for this amazing cause.
Every pound donated goes directly towards helping someone receive the care they need. Your generosity can truly make a difference, so please give what you can to help us reach our target and continue the vital work of Black Minds Matter UK.
Thank you so much for your support.
