Story
If you are someone that knows me well, you’ll know that 6 months ago I was unable to run for 30 seconds! Now, I’m enjoying regularly running 5Ks and want to use my new passion to raise some money for a cause that is close to my heart- as an Auntie and as a Teacher.
Harrison, our little prince, has recently been diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3. He is truly wonderful and has to navigate our world differently. Being non-verbal, he has already come up with his own way to communicate and express his needs. Harrison is one of the happiest little boys ever and always has a huge smile on his face. His brilliant parents have fought tirelessly for Harrison so that he has the support he deserves.
I’m so lucky to teach at an amazing school in Keighley. I’m passionate about making a difference to the lives of all young people. During my teaching career, I have taught many children with Autism and I’ve learnt so much about how mainstream classrooms need to be adapted to support ALL learners. Education is for everyone and should be accessible to all!
Child Autism UK is an incredible organisation that works to improve the lives of Autistic children and their families. They also provide training and support for schools. By donating through JustGiving, you can help make a real impact. Your contribution will go directly to Child Autism UK, enabling them to continue their vital work. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for these amazing children.
I am truly grateful for your support and generosity. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal. Thank you for joining me on this journey and helping us make a positive change in the lives of children with autism.
