Story
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 3rd July, I’ll be taking on the Welsh 3000s Challenge — hiking all 15 mountains in Wales over 3,000ft within 24 hours — to raise money for ANDYSMANCLUB, a charity supporting men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
This challenge is incredibly personal to me.
When I was 13 years old I lost my stepdad to suicide. Losing someone you love in that way changes you forever. It opened my eyes to how many men silently struggle with their mental health and how important it is that we create safe spaces where men feel able to talk and ask for support.
That’s why I’m raising money for ANDYSMANCLUB. They run free weekly groups across the UK where any man can walk in and talk openly in a supportive, judgement-free environment.
The statistics around suicide in the UK are heartbreaking:
• Around 3 out of 4 suicides are men
• Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50
• Over 4,000 men lose their lives to suicide every year in the UK
These numbers show just how important it is that charities like ANDYSMANCLUB exist.
Over the next few months I’ll be sharing my training and the journey towards the challenge on my Instagram to raise as much awareness and money as possible before 3rd July.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world and will help support men who may be struggling.
Thank you so much for your support. 💛
