Story
Just under 11 years Natalie’s first born baby girl was born and sadly died 6 hours later. Natalie was lost, upset, grieving and heartbroken.
Natalie reached out to the Lily Mae Foundation who supported her through her grief and gave her strength and confidence throughout further pregnancies.
Natalie also had the most amazing family and friends who got me through the hardest days after losing my baby and my subsequent stressful pregnancies. Mel being one of those close friends is now happily taking on this challenge with Natalie.
We continue to support this charity and the valuable work they do. We will be completing this challenge and performing the dance a week before what would have been Annabelle ‘Hope’ Hutton’s 11th birthday.
Although Natalie is often ‘loud’ and appears confident; performing a dance in front of others (when I have never danced before) is totally out of her comfort zone. Hopefully having Mel by her side with previous dance experience will help get her through.
The Lily Mae Foundation work to provide a support network to bereaved parents following the loss of a baby, training and support for midwives and other health and social care professionals, and research into what can be done to help prevent the loss of a baby in the future.
