I’m Natalie Ibu, the Artistic Director at Northern Stage theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne. On Sunday 26th April, I’ll be walking 23 miles in support of the theatre’s important Pay It Forward Appeal in the Glasgow Kiltwalk. I’m so excited for the challenge and would love to have your support in helping me raise enough funds to bring an entire class of schoolchildren to our theatre!

My four-pawed pal Obi Puff Puff – who you might recognise from the NS café - is also hoping to walk alongside me 🐾

A bit about Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward is Northern Stage’s fundraising campaign that helps us to offer free or heavily subsidised tickets to our shows, workshop places and bursaries to community groups and young people who may otherwise be unable to attend.

We know the value of engaging with the arts – it brings us together, can positively impact our wellbeing, provoke curiosity and inspire creativity. But with rising costs of living and high rates of poverty in the North East, it’s not always possible for everybody to participate without a helping hand.

We want everyone to be able to access great theatre, and our Pay It Forward appeal is our way of supporting lots of young people, families, and local community groups so that they can take part, without facing financial barriers.
