Story
My birthday feels different this year.
I’m celebrating my 45th birthday as a survivor of Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a journey that pushed me in ways I never imagined. There were so many moments of fear, uncertainty, and were some of the hardest days of my life.
I am so lucky that I always had support, kindness, and family who helped carry me through. I couldn't have done it without them.
This year, instead of gifts, I’m asking for donations to help support the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
If you’re able to give even a small amount, it would mean the world to me, and can make a difference to someone who truly needs it right now.
Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) is a locally based not-for-profit that is 100% funded by the local Hunter community. They provide practical & immediate support services for local Hunter residents and their families navigating their cancer journey.
These services include a mobile wig & headwear library; transport to treatment and related medical appointments; prosthesis & children's education financial support; cleaning and lawn maintenance during active treatment; comfort cushions for post-surgery; children's books explaining breast cancer; a Wellness Hub + more.
