Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money to build a permanent roof on the house of my sponsored children.

Many of you followed our adventures in January when Helen and I visited Kovalam, the fishing village in Tamil Nadu where The Venkat Trust is based

We were privileged to be able to visit the children that I sponsor in their own home. I was shocked to see that they live in one of the few remaining leaf houses in the village. This means that the roof is made of palm leaves and so when it rains, they get wet.

I would love to be able to provide a solid roof so that they don’t have to endure another monsoon season under a tarpaulin. £2,000 is all it would take to make this a reality.

This summer I turn 50 and I can’t think of a better gift than to be able to give this wonderful family a solid roof over their heads.

I shall be doing several challenges and fundraisers over the summer to celebrate my big birthday while raising much needed funds. From auctioning off my brother (he’s a chef 😋) to swimming in a 24hr outdoor swim relay, and many more in between… there are plenty of things to get involved in!
