Story
On 22nd November 2025 we are holding a fundraiser at The Farmers Arms, Scorton to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to help them with their ground-breaking research and campaign to make dementia a priority.
We plan on holding a darts challenge throughout the day. We’ll be starting at a massive 50,001 points, and with every dart thrown, we will bring the number down. The more people that get involved, the faster we hit zero — and every single throw will help make a difference. We just ask that those that come to participate make a donation towards this worthy cause.
On the evening we hope to hold a Darts Knockout event. It will be a £10 entry fee with 50% of the money going to the charity and the rest as the prize money for the overall winner. We will also be holding a raffle and hopefully an auction of promises.
Dementia has touched so many families within our community — friends, parents, grandparents, neighbours and people we’ve shared laughs and memories with right here in the pub. It’s heartbreaking to see how it steals precious moments away, not just from those living with it, but from everyone who loves them.
This isn’t just about darts — it’s about coming together as a community, remembering those we’ve lost, supporting those still fighting, and sharing hope for a brighter future.
