5th September will see my take on the Glenmore 24 trail race - running a 4 mile loop for 24hours. Now to spice it up a bit I’m taking on the challenge to compete 100miles in that time. Something that’s been on my mind for a really long time long time - but now it’s got a bigger purpose.

Last year we lost one of our incredible members Minnie to cancer - now Minnie wasn’t just a member she was the heart of our curves community, our biggest cheerleader and genuinely felt like part of our own personal family. If the tragic loss has taught us all anything it’s to stop putting things off until tomorrow as it really isn’t guaranteed.

Minnie spent her final days with the Ayrshire hospice and told her Sons that they had to do something in return. So I thought after all Minnie done for us over the last 10 years it was the least I could do to give back. The Ayrshire hospice is a charity providing compassionate care, comfort, and support to people across Ayrshire and Arran who are living with a life-limiting illness. Every day, the team delivers specialist palliative and end-of-life care - while also offering vital support to their families and loved ones. I hope that anyone reading this never has to rely on the incredible service but ask if your able to to dig deep as we never know when this will effect us directly or our family.
