Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi my name is Natalie and I have a 13 year old son Tyler who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) back in primary school.
If you are a parent of a child with ASD , you will understand how limited help and resources are.
Helping hands autism resource centre is a Charity in Belfast Northern Ireland .Iit was formed in 2008 and since then they have grown greatly to ensure that families are supported when they receive diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
They provide social groups weekly and their volunteers work with social group members to encourage social interaction, communication, sensory integration and life skills programmes for Children from the age of primary one up to young adults to the age of 24.
They are a charity that relies heavily on the generosity and support of others to ensure they can continue to support children and young adults and families with autism spectrum disorder throughout Belfast and north down
This April (Autism Awareness Month) they are fundraising for the match funding for a new play park which is in need of a face lift and new equipment for their children and young people. They need to raise £10,000 and are asking you the community to help us and support them.
That is why me and my son, who has benefited greatly with help and support from this centre over the years have decided to try raise some money to help them achieve this goal by doing a sponsored walk up cave hill on April 28th (weather depending)
Every donation will help us to raise their total. and help them to continue to support local families with Autism.
Thank you.
