Story
As a family, we are taking part in the 14miles big stroll kilt walk to raise money for a charity very close to our hearts, the West of Scotland Deaf Children's Society. (WSDCS). Many of you may know our beautiful Immy has been diagnosed profoundly deaf and severely deaf aswell as other serious health implications over the years, and as a family we wanted to support her in the best way we could. We were so lucky to have met Lisa, from WSDCS, then we started to attend the club with Immy. The club gave us hope, showed us we weren’t alone in a time when we really needed support, not only for Immy but for us as a family too as we navigate the deaf community. Immy has been inspired by so many incredible people within this club, has been shown that even though she is deaf there is no limits to what she can achieve, she has made friends for life & so have we! What WSDCS can offer children and families in a time when you feel very isolated, it’s unmatched & we would love if you could help us raise money so other kids like Immy can get the help & support they need aswell as families like us.
