In memory of my dear friend, Carolyn, who swam countless cold open water swims with me. We dreamed of swimming the English Channel together. While she had already made the swim herself, she wanted to do it again… so here I go. Carolyn passed prematurely to an aggressively rare lung cancer which required spinal surgery. I am raising funds to directly help those who are recovering post spinal injury/surgery to restore normalcy in their lives. I traveled with my relay partners to Aspire headquarters where we met and heard from survivors as beneficiaries of amazing onsite rehabilitation programs, services, and equipment as well as offsite support they can provide. I am proud to support Aspire while they offer the same to me and my team as we make our English Channel Swim crossing as a relay.
