Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm fundraising for the Scottish Huntington's Association in the 2026 Edinburgh Marathon.
Huntington's Disease is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder. Patients of Huntington's progress through stages that contain loss of motor skills, cognition, and emotional stability over several years. HD is an autosomal dominant disease, meaning children have a 50/50 chance of inheritance if one parent has Huntington's Disease. There are no carriers, but its impact is felt widely.
In March of 2000, my paternal grandfather, Raymond C. Greer II, died from Huntington's Disease. While there have been incredible medical advancements in my lifetime, HD is still considered fatal. I'm running & fundraising both in memory of those who have died from Huntington's and in honor of those whose lives have been impacted by it, both patients & loved ones alike.
