Eighteen months ago, I lost my dad, and since then, I have been searching for a meaningful way to honor his memory. I found that purpose by joining the Hospiscare 40 Club for 2026/2027.

Although my dad was not cared for in a hospice, witnessing the compassion, dignity, and unwavering support that Hospiscare provides to people and families facing life-limiting conditions really touched me tosay.

As a proud member of the Hospiscare 40 Club, I'm committed to raising £1,000 to support this incredible charity’s vital work.

If you know me, you know I love and outdoor pool so to achieve this I'll be swimming in every lido, outdoor pool, and sea pool across Devon, from iconic locations like Tinside Lido to community pools such as Teignmouth’s, hotel spots, as well as hidden coastal gems.

Each swim is a tribute to the care that makes such a difference when it matters most and to the people we hold tight.

My journey will culminate with a twilight swim at Bovey Pool in December. Though the cold winds and dark skies may challenge me, the water will be warm with purpose; because hospice care never takes a break when seasons change.

This is more than just swimming; it’s about raising awareness and funds for those who need it most.
