Story
My plan for 2025 is to learn more about Alzheimer's. Over the past few years, we’ve watched my fabulous mother-in-law, Jan, change as we slowly lose her to Alzheimer’s. I want to learn how to recognise the early signs, understand its effects, and find ways to better support those living with it.
I also want to help drive fundraising efforts to support research and care, so that in the future, fewer families have to face this devastating journey.
Alongside my research is my first fundraising event which is running the Reading Half Marathon. Running has played a huge part of my life since 2021 and this year will be my third year in a row running this race.
My training is not where is needs to be right now (January 25th whilst writing this) and as my training and story unfolds I will share why. However, I may not be at my running best right now but I sure have determination! My plan is to just go out there, enjoy race day, raise some very important money for Alzheimers Research and run for Jan.
