Nathalie and Mike Climb Kilimanjaro · 29 January 2025

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Mike and Nathalie will be doing a number of challenges across the next few months to raise £10,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Surrey Half Marathon – September

Autumn 100 ultra marathon (Mike) - October

Athens Marathon (Nat)– November

Climb Mount Kilimanjaro – January

Obviously the big one is the fact we will be climbing Kilimanjaro in Jan 2025, this will be one seriously big challenge for us to climb Africa’s highest mountain across an 8 day trek, Kilimanjaro is the world’s highest free-standing mountain at 5895m (19,340 feet). For 8 days, we will be exposed to the elements, which can range from hot sunshine to driving rain, to sub-zero temperatures. Not only will it be physically hard with the altitude and walking distance but mentally very challenging.

We are proud to be supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital to help raise incredibly important funds for the hospital which will make the difference to 1000’s of children.

Any donations are very gratefully received.
