Story
A large number of the population are affected by chronic kidney disease. This condition can strike at any age, putting individuals at risk of kidney failure and the need for dialysis or a kidney transplant. The research conducted by Kidneys for Life focuses on improving dialysis techniques, prolonging the lifespan of transplanted kidneys, and detecting early-stage kidney disease. With their dedication to finding solutions, they rely on our support.
My husband Matthew was unfortunate enough to experience kidney failure at a young age. At just 11 years old, he received the incredible gift of a kidney transplant. This life-saving procedure allowed him to pursue his dreams, grow up, get married and cherish precious moments with our beautiful son. None of this would have been possible without the ongoing research in the field of kidney health and the generosity of organ donors.
To express our gratitude and give back to Kidneys for Life, Myself, Matthew, matthews Aunty and Uncle will be participating in the Kidneys for Life Morecambe Bay Walk 2024 on June 30th. This walk spans approximately 8 miles across Morecambe Bay from Arnside to Grange-over-sands. We invite you to join us in supporting this cause by sponsoring our walk with any amount you can contribute.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by kidney disease. Your support will help Kidneys for Life continue their vital research and provide hope for a brighter future.
Thank you everyone for your generosity and compassion.💜
