Story
In late 2024 our beautiful colleague and friend Olive was cared for at the end of her life by Weston Hospice. Whilst visiting her one day I told her I'd arrange a endoscopy team challenge to raise funds for the hospice. She just chuckled as we are not the fitness sort ( she was super strong and fit).
So here we are, a team from the Endoscopy unit in Weston Hospital taking part in the Mendip Challenge on the 1st June 2025 walking distances from 20 miles to 5 miles we are all challenging ourselves to hopefully raise funds for the wonderful Weston Hospice.
Any donations no matter how small are gratefully received.
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £5.5 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
