In the 30 years since Meningitis Now was founded, we have funded research, provided support & worked to raise the public's awareness of the disease. Our vision is a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Story

As we approach the end of 2024, I have been thinking about my running related goals for 2025. I have decided to complete 12 Half Marathons events (1 per month) in 2025🏃🏽‍♀️

I will do this as part of the Team Alexis Rose Fitness Family 🌹 This group was set up by Alan & Ruth who sadly lost their daughter Alexis Rose at just 19 months due to meningitis and septicaemia. The goal as a Team is to raise awareness and educate people about meningitis & septicaemia. This is achieved by bringing people together through exercise, challenges & taking part in numerous events. They really do a great job!

It is heartbreaking the number of people and families that are affected by this. Any funds raised will go towards Meningitis Now to help ensure nobody else loses a life to this cruel illness and that everyone affected gets the support they need🧡

I will be documenting my journey through this challenge on my instagram @natasharuns_ , posting regular updates and medal pics🥇
