Story
In loving memory of Aunty Yasmeen
Inna lillahi wa inna illahi raji'oon.
We are raising Sadaqah Jariyah for Yasmeen Zaman. May Allah (swt) grant her His mercy, give her peace, blessing and elevate her rank in Jannah, ameen.
Aunty Yasmeen was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. Full of kindness, compassion and wisdom, always on hand to help others without question. Loving mother, wife, sister, friend and more, she will be greatly missed.
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “When a human being dies, all one's deeds cease, save three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, [religious] knowledge [one leaves behind] from which others benefit, and a righteous child who prays for one” (Muslim)
We are asking you now to come together and help us raise funds for a water borehole in Pakistan, in her memory.
Each borehole is solar-powered and can provide clean drinking water to around 100 families per day who otherwise have no access to safe water.
Long-lasting, this form of Sadaqah Jariyah will benefit Aunty in the next life and act as witness for her, insha'Allah.
On the authority of Sa‘d bin ’Ubadah that he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Umm (mother of) Sa‘d has died, so which charity is best?’ He (saw) replied, ‘[Providing] water’. He (ra) said, ‘So [Sa’d] dug a well and said, “This (well) is for Umm Sa‘d”’. [Abu Dawud]
** Our target is £2000 but should we raise more, additional funds will go towards a second well or alternative charity that will provide her long-lasting benefit. **
