I am a mum of two gorgeous girls and wife of the ever amazing Matt.

I was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 non-smoking Small Cell Lung Cancer EGFR+ in January 2023. This cancer is unfortunately incurable and was caused by a gene mutation - there was nothing I did to cause this disease and nothing could have done to prevent it. I am a fit, healthy non-smoker who is desperately trying to raise awareness of the early signs of lung cancer. Quite often our symptoms are overlooked or we are falsely reassured by medical professionals that our symptoms are benign; we mistakenly believe that lung cancer is a smoking-only disease. There are so many stigmas attached to lung cancer and I am determined to challenge these. The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only British charity solely dedicated to funding research and supporting those affected by lung cancer.
