I am raising money for Cancer Research UK as cancer hits very close to home. My beautiful dad has had prostate cancer for about 12 years. Just before Christmas 2023, my mum and dad found out that is has unfortunately spread to his lymph nodes. A couple weeks into January 2024, they thought he had a blood clot on his lung which they investigated and did tests on, only to find out that the cancer has now spread to his lung. On February 22nd 2024, my mum and dad found out the most devastating news that it has spread to his liver and his doctor gave him months to live. My mum sat us down on February 24th 2024 and told myself, my little sister and my little brother this news. This was the worst news we could have ever received. All of us knowing that he won’t see us turn 18, or walk us down the wedding aisle. I am raising this money so more people with cancer can be helped and supported. Everyone around my dad has helped massive amounts and thank you to all those who played a part. I am hoping that he is able to see all the money raised for Cancer Research UK before it is his time so he knows people out there may get the help they need.
