My Story: Why I’m Taking On the Arctic
In March 2026, I’ll be stepping way (waaay) out of my comfort zone and into the Arctic Circle as part of Expedition Limitless 2026 — a bold mission to raise £200,000 in support of two incredible Isle of Man charities: Rebecca House and The Children’s Centre.
From March 17th to April 1st, a team of 14 novice explorers — yes, including yours truly — will face the harsh and unforgiving Arctic environment. We’ll be navigating extreme cold, relentless terrain, and total isolation with no support crew, relying solely on grit, determination, and teamwork to get us through.
This is not just an adventure; it’s a mission with real purpose. The funds we raise will go directly to:
- Rebecca House, which provides essential palliative care and respite for children with life-limiting conditions.
- The Children’s Centre, which delivers vital services to children and families across our community.
Why me?
Honestly? This is a huge personal challenge. I’ve spent years battling bad knees, and I’m currently going through intensive physio and serious weight loss just to make this possible. The thought of dragging a pulk (sled!) across ice and snow in sub-zero temperatures would’ve been unthinkable not long ago and yet, here we are.
Some might say I’m a bit crazy. They’re not wrong. But if going to the ends of the Earth (literally) helps bring comfort, support, and opportunity to children and families who desperately need it, then I’m all in.
💯 of every penny you donate goes straight to the charities. No admin fees, no covering expedition costs — just real impact, where it’s needed most.
If you’re able to support me and these amazing causes, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let’s do something extraordinary together.
