Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's vision is for a county rich in wildlife that is understood, valued and sustained by the organisations, people and communities living here. We have over 60 nature reserves, educate over 3,000 children and have more than 28,000 members and 500 volunteers.

Story

One piano, 16 children, their piano teacher and a couple of parents - playing, back-to-back, without stopping! We are going to try and play for 5+ hours. Support the children in their musical endeavours, and help us to raise money for the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.

GWT is a local wildlife charity that works to protect animals and their habitats - ensuring biodiversity and reintroducing animals into our area (such as the pine martin). They conduct ecological surveys and manage protected areas in Gloucestershire - rivers and canals, woodlands and green spaces. GWT establish and maintain nature reserves, and run education and social projects to raise awareness and funds. Community engagement is central to their work: teams of volunteers are trained not just for volunteering but to provide skills for future employment; they provide schemes for carers, disabled and disadvantaged members of the community. GWT also consult on projects and initiatives to bring green spaces into the urban environment
