The marvellous Mustard Tree supports people with a diagnosis of cancer in many ways - they are there to encourage people when they need it, to help, to hold and to care at a really difficult time in people's lives.

Story

Anybody who knows me or my family will know the affect cancer has had on my family in the last two years. In May 2022 my dad was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer, and ever since then he's been battling it and receiving amazing treatment that we are all very grateful for!

When dad was first diagnosed the Mustard tree provided great support both emotionally and practically. They provide cancer and information support such as counsellors, therapists and support specialists.

The Centre is comfortable, welcoming - a place where people can sit and reflect, or speak to someone about concerns they have. They offer information about their cancer; details of support that is available, and include and help their family. It is an invaluable opportunity to talk to someone about how they feel and get the support they need.

I got into London Marathon via the ballot last year and with this opportunity I wanted to give something back to the charity that dad has directly benefited from. With the money we raise together it will also help ensure that others facing similar circumstances receive the same level of support and assistance. Every donation will make a meaningful difference.

Thank you for your support!
